IUM recently hosted its highly anticipated Career Week, a dynamic event designed to connect students with industry leaders, offering valuable insights into various career paths. This year’s event featured discussions, networking opportunities, and exclusive interactions with professionals from diverse sectors, further solidifying IUM’s commitment to fostering career preparation and professional growth. This year’s event has attracted 90+ companies and 400 registered students and alumni representing over 75 nationalities, underscoring IUM’s commitment to fostering a global professional network. Career Week at IUM exemplifies the university’s dedication to integrating academic learning with real-world professional engagement, providing students with invaluable insights and connections to navigate their future careers successfully.
Career Week in Action
The Career Week provided a dynamic lineup of events tailored to diverse career interests. With 4-5 parallel sessions running daily, students engaged in key sectors such as International Management, Banking and Finance, Luxury Management, Yachting, Sports Business Management, Innovation and Sustainability and Monaco Brands. Professional development workshops equipped them with essential skills and insights to support their career growth.
In addition to industry-focused sessions, students gained firsthand knowledge from esteemed guest speakers, including influential leaders who shared their expertise and experiences. This immersive format allowed participants to build valuable connections, expand their perspectives, and take meaningful steps toward their professional goals. Additionally, roundtable discussions with industry professionals were organized, where students could ask questions and delve deeper into various industries.
Memorable Closing Events
One of the highlights of Career Week was the Networking Cocktail Party, held on March 6th at Le Meridien Beach Plaza. This relaxed setting provided students, faculty, and industry professionals with an opportunity to continue their discussions, forge new connections, and celebrate a successful week of learning and growth. The event offered an excellent platform for mingling with professionals, learning more about various industries, and strengthening ties within the global network.
The week concluded on a high note with a Hackathon, organized in collaboration with Monaco Tech for MSc students. This hands-on challenge allowed students to showcase their problem-solving skills and creativity while collaborating with industry experts and peers. The hackathon provided an exciting conclusion to a week filled with valuable learning experiences and professional development.
